Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
Seamill Hydro Hotel is generally considered a great place to stay, with beautifully furnished interiors and spacious rooms that are both comfortable and clean. Many guests appreciate the sea view rooms, though some courtyard rooms may feel a bit dated and dark. The hotel's location is convenient, with the 585 bus stopping outside for easy access to Largs. Breakfast often receives high praise, and the spa facilities, including the pool, steam room and sauna, are a big plus for many.

underwhelming Stay

great viewspoor servicebroken iron
the location was right on the beach. it did offer great views.
The service, though, was really NOT good. We waited ages at the bar. even with free drinks after complaining, the initial issue shouldn't have happened, really? the iron in the room also didn't work. housekeeping questioned me about it, AND the new iron came in a box for me to unpack. how thoughtful.

Anniversary Delight with Excellent Service

quick foodkind boygreat service
Stephen greeted us wonderfully upon arrival for our anniversary. Kieran, a lovely boy who brought our food, was very kind and helpful. The food came out rather quickly, and the service was great (the pate was delicious!).
The mattress was a bit too firm for my liking.
Location

The hotel boasts a fine, dramatic location. The views overlooking Arran are amazing and provide a very relaxing atmosphere. The beach proximity is excellent and guests can enjoy the scenery directly from the hotel.
Rooms

The room included nice toiletries. This. Rooms have separate areas designed for families or with children. This provides families with additional space and convenience during their hotel stay.

a rather average night. surprise, surprise.

helpful stafffrosted glass
the staff checked me in were helpful enough, i guess.
my family room without a sea view didn't exactly scream luxury. in fact, the frosted glass at the bottom of the window offered no view at all. so much for instagrammable moments. plus, it smell musty.

The shower was warm and powerful. Arran Aromatic toiletries were included.
The lack of drawers made it hard to unpack properly. Bedside shelves were also too shallow to put clothes on. I found this inconvenient. I wish there were more storage options in the room.
